JOHN STACY BIO
John joined GAMA as the Executive Director in December 2018. He is excited to work with both a dynamic team of professionals and a cadre of volunteers and use his more than 30 years nonprofit, communications, and governmental experience to provide value for the members of our association. Prior to joining GAMA, John served as the executive director of the Autism Society of Ohio, the executive director of the St John Learning Center, director of advocacy and communications for the Ohio Council for Home Care and Hospice, and member services director for the Ohio Chemical Manufacturers Association. In addition to his association work he served for 17 years as a legislative aide in the Ohio House of Representatives. John graduated with degrees in Business Administration from Mt Vernon Nazarene University as well as a Master of Science in Marketing and Communications from Franklin University and for four years was an adjunct Marketing & Communications instructor for the University of Phoenix.
CHRIS MATERNI BIO
Chris joined GAMA as the Deputy Director in April 2019. She brings more than twenty years of trade association membership and business operation experience to the organization. Her main responsibilities include the development and documentation of operational efficiencies. Chris administers the everyday functions for the organization and assists the Executive Director to develop, achieve, and analyze long-term strategies to achieve all goals and objectives.
DANNI LOE BIO
Danni joined GAMA as the Communications Manager in March 2019. Since 2013, Danni Loe has worked with multiple publishers in the hobby games industry to build their customer service, marketing, and events teams. At GAMA, she is responsible for all outward communications and marketing efforts for the organization and associated events. Always eager to help, she’ll help you find the answers you need to support your business. Outside of the office, you can find her daydreaming in French, planning which game to play next, or singing along to her favorite band.
MELISSA JACOBS BIO
With more than 10 years of education and project management experience, Melissa is obsessed with innovating new ways of creating amazing content that is useful and effective in the hobby games industry. No matter which hat she's wearing, her goal is simple -- to empower organizations and thought leaders to distinguish themselves and drive measurable results through content that educates, informs, and inspires. Throughout her career, Melissa has worked with organizations across a wide range of industries -- from the business and professional community to restaurant and health care at home associations. When she isn’t working, you’ll find Melissa playing games with family and friends, watching cooking shows, and lifting weights.
JIM GODIN BIO
Jim Godin, CMP joined GAMA as the Meetings Manager in May 2019. He is responsible for growing the GAMA brand as well as planning and management of all events. Jim comes to GAMA with over two decades in the meeting industry as a Director of Event Technologies and has produced meetings from coast-to-coast. Jim also has experience working in an association atmosphere as a Logistics Director. With experience in associations and meetings, he is tasked with executing first-class events at GAMA that bring people together. Although new to gaming, Jim has already started a game collection and is scouting a place to put the shelving units he will need.
PAUL MCGRAW BIO
Paul McGraw started working with GAMA as a registration volunteer for Origins Game Fair over 10 years ago. He has been working for the association for 5 years as the Events Coordinator. Some of his responsibilities include creating and verifying all the room sets for the GAMA Trade Show and Origins Game Fair, curating the list of events for Origins, and managing the programs and processes around event submissions and compensations. He has been an avid gamer for many years and continues to learn about all facets of the gaming industry to better serve our members for years to come.
JESSICA DAVIDSON BIO
Jessica comes to GAMA with many years of administrative and customer service experience. She attended her first Origins in 2007 and, while not a gamer, enjoyed the gaming community and began volunteering for Origins in 2008. She began her career at GAMA in 2015. As the Membership Administrator, Jessica serves as the main point of contact for member inquiries, reviews new membership applications for approval, and is the Academy Secretary for the Origins Awards.
BILLIE MACFARLANE BIO
Billie joined GAMA as the Project Coordinator and Software Specialist in February 2019. Billie loves working with tabletop designers, publishers, and retailers. Their drive in the industry is working with creative people to help cultivate them into proud business owners. This passion stems from being a small business owner of a dog training business. Billie started working full-time in the hobby games industry in 2017. They started Central Ohio Game Designers (COGD) in 2018. Billie spends their free time training animals, playing social deception games, designing tabletop games, and being a patron of the arts in Columbus.
