VISION
A game on every table, a table for everyone.

HISTORY
The Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA) was formed in 1977 to protect the interests of the Origins Game Fair. It incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1982. Since then, it has expanded to become the premier trade association for the hobby games industry. Its mission is to promote the general interest of all persons engaged in the buying, selling, licensing, and manufacturing of hobby game products. To that end, GAMA provides member affinity programs such as toolkits, trade and consumer shows, education programs, with additional benefits announced every year.
GAMA envisions a world where tabletop games are a broadly pursued pastime and where all engaged in the business of selling them can do so profitably and comfortably.

MISSION STATEMENT
The essential nexus for new and experienced game industry professionals, GAMA serves to promote its members' common interest - increasing the adoption of and engagement with tabletop games. GAMA fosters networking, sharing of best practices and innovations, and the pooling of resources toward common goals. GAMA achieves this through hosting trade and consumer shows, industry events, providing an information and resource hub, marketing activities, and interfacing with other trade organizations in adjoining industries.
