Today marks one year since the murder of George Floyd. His death shed
light on racial injustice and inequity in our society. We mourn his passing and
honor his legacy with a day of reflection on the work to be done for fairness,
equity, and justice for Black and marginalized people.
Over the past year GAMA has looked at our own structure, messaging,
and programs to make sure we’re doing our part to become a more inclusive and
diverse organization. While we’ve made some progress, we know that there is
still much to be done. We welcome input, suggestions, and accountability on
this journey to create a new GAMA that is more reflective and representative of
our industry.
