Going to a trade show can be an overwhelming experience. There's so much to do, so many people to meet, and endless amounts of info to learn. We asked GAMA members to share the best advice on getting the most out of your experience at GAMA Expo.
Download the GAMA Expo mobile app. This will be a valuable tool for organizing your schedule, taking notes, and
Follow GAMA on social media. Stay on top of live announcements and promote your involvement in the event by using #GAMA2020.
Bring extra business cards. Networking is a huge part of the show and you'll want to be able to follow up with new connections after you return home.
Talk to everybody. Push yourself to meet new people. Remember, every interaction is an opportunity to grow your business and gain new experience (and friends).
Take notes constantly. Create a follow-up list of action items as you go. Write down bright ideas you want to try in your business.
Organize meetings ahead of time. Not only is this professional, but will keep stress levels low and guarantee face-time with your must-see business partners.
Don't book your schedule full. Leave some time to explore, catch up with emails, and unwind at the end of a busy day.
Divide and conquer. If you are bringing multiple people from your team, have everyone attend different seminars or booths, then reconvene to share what you learned.
