Awards

GAMA sponsors two types of industry awards: the Origins Awards and the Industry Service Awards. These are detailed below.

The Origins Awards

The Origins Awards are the industry's premier awards for recognizing excellence in hobby games publishing. The awards have a 30-year tradition and are announced annually at the Origins Game Expo.

The Origins Awards are given out by The Academy of Adventure Game Arts & Design, a committee of GAMA. Made up of professionals from across the industry, the Academy selects the nominees and the winners from hundreds of hobby game products.

The Industry Service Awards

The GAMA Industry Service Awards honor those who have made significant, selfless contributions to the hobby game industry or GAMA. These awards recognize indiviudal volunteers or groups whose leadership and committment have promoted gaming as a positive social pastime and who make the hobby games industry a better place for all.
