Affinity Programs

GAMA offers a number of member affinity programs to enhance membership. These are detailed below. Note that not all programs are available to all classes of membership.

Booth Rebates

GAMA offers a rebate on booth fees to members who exhibit at our shows. Members receive a 10% discount up to the full value of their membership dues after the show. This program is available to Wholesale Members at GTS, to Retail Members at Origins, and to Full-Voting Members at both shows. You must be a member at the time of the show to qualify for the rebate.

Advertising Discounts

Full-Voting and Wholesale Members can take advantage of reduced ad rates with Comics & Games Retailer magazine. C&GR grants GAMA members a 10% discount on Showcase ads or half-page black-and-white ads. The deal requires the member to purchase three or more ads, and it cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or contract with the magazine.

Finally, C&GR is making a special offer to publisher members. By buying a full-page, full-color ad in the December 2004 issue of the magazine, the member can do a POP insert for free.

Free Subscriptions

Retail Members receive a free subscription to Comics & Games Retailer magazine with their membership. C&GR is the leading trade journal for the industry and contains sales data, analysis, and business advice from professionals across the comics, games, anime, and toy industries.

All members can take advantage of a special offer from Bill Stoller's Free Publicity. This e-newsletter is aimed at coaching small businesses in how to draw free and low-cost publicity to their firms. It's a bible of guerilla marketing for businesses on a budget. GAMA members are eligible for a four-issue trial subscription to the newsletter through the end of 2004. The member gets four "evergreen" issues that showcase the best of what Free Publicity has to offer. Then the member can choose to subscribe or not. To take advantage of this program, click here.

Free Publications

All GAMA publications are free to members. Both The Manufacturers Handbook and The Retailers Handbook are available free to our members. These valuable books cost $20 and $50 respectively.

Mailing List Subscription

Full-Voting Members are subscribed to the FVM e-mail list so that they can discuss voting and related matters amongst themselves.

GTS Badges

Wholesale members receive four free badges to GTS. Retail members receive two free badges to GTS.
